For the 5th year in a row, SDAR attended the world's largest commercial real estate conference, MIPIM with real estate professionals from all over the world in every sector including office, retail, industrial, logistics, sports and healthcare. Capital investors from around the world attend specifically looking for investment-ready projects.

Representing the Southern California/San Diego Mega Region, SDAR showcased why our region is a top place for capital investment. We met with investors from Hong Kong, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Istanbul, Canada and the U.S. where we promoted the region and talked about the projects we brought that are available for investment. 

Among the projects we brought is a water desalination plant by the Binational Water Group. This project is seeking investment to relieve water transfers from the Colorado River to Mexico and eventually supply a reliable source to the Salton Sea.

The 4-day conference was jam-packed with meetings and attending programs on topics such as investment trends, inclusivity in real estate, and future trends in multifamily, office, and retail.

By promoting the Southern California/San Diego Mega Region as an international destination for capital investment, SDAR and our partners are creating opportunities for many types of investment including commercial and residential real estate, infrastructure projects and business opportunities that create jobs. Due to our continued presence at MIPIM, our booth is becoming an attraction for the attendees to visit and learn more about the region.
